Environment

Environment is becoming one of the most decisive areas for Ukraine’s recovery. Reconstruction projects now sit under increased scrutiny from regulators, donors, and the public – especially where war debris and hazardous waste are involved. At the same time, Ukraine’s ongoing EU-alignment and climate commitments continue to shape environmental regulation, permitting, and compliance expectations across sectors.
Koziakov & Partners is actively developing its Environment practice as a recovery-focused, practical offering built on long-standing environmental and climate expertise. We combine experience in environmental policy and climate-related regulation with hands-on legal support for today’s priority workstreams: hazardous waste management, donor compliance, landfill and waste infrastructure projects, and the environmental dimension of demining and land restoration. Our goal is to help clients implement projects safely, lawfully, and in a way that stands up to donor and regulatory requirements.
